Source: Sound the Sirens Magazine Word has it that Butch Vig has been signed up to produce the forthcoming sophomore release from U.K. post-grunge rockers The Subways. If you’re unfamiliar, Vig has worked with such notable bands as Nirvana and the Smashing Pumpkins; and has also made a name for himself with his band Garbage, for which he plays the drums. It’s still too early for a release date for the currently untitled new disc from The Subways, but we’ll be sure to let you know when something breaks. As a fan of the band I was already excited enough about this one; but now that I know a man as talented as Butch Vig is going to be twiddling the knobs, I’m amped that much more.
