Siva - Zwan : Concert Reviews

First off, if ANYONE has pictures or video or MP3s from the show, PLEASE email them to me!

The first time I saw Billy perform was in July of 96 during the MCIS tour. The show was good, but it was so huge, and that took away from the power of the performance.

Fast forward seven years and I find myself in a gym, about twenty feet away from William Patrick Corgan himself.

The show was almost perfect. Zwan took a really long time to come out on stage, but when they did, they kicked the show off with Endless Summer. The songs that stand out in my mind the most are Jesus I (which they played during the first set) and Mary Star of the Sea (which they used to kick off the second set). Everyone in the band looked happy. Billy's smile to me has always been contagious, and when I see him smile I can't help but smile myself. He thanked the crowd many times. He also walked around the stage to shake hands and toss out guitar picks at the end of the show. Halfway through the show I shouted out "I love you" and someone called me a fag.. nice bunch.

Just one more thing.. what the hell was Zwan thinking when they got Turbonegro and Queens of the Stone Age to open for them.. I didn't like either of those bands (especially Turbonegro).
When I saw the Pumpkins in 96 they had Garbage opening for them. That was a lot better. :)
