Siva - Zwan : Concert Reviews

This concert was a great show, and one of the last outdoor concerts for the season at LC Pavillion. The weather was horrible, being in the 30's by the end of the show. The rain held off (minus a little mist here and there) but it was raining during the day so the ground was wet.

A highlight of the show that dealt with the weather was when the guitar solo for Tarantula came. The entire stage went quiet. It was obvious that the only member supposed to be playing was Billy. The crowd was momentarily confused, but then you could see Jimmy laughing and the rest of the band members laughing at Billy, who then had his hands cupped around his mouth blowing hot air into them. Billy stepped up to the microphone and said something to the extent of: "My hands are numb". He was laughing. The crowd erupted with applause. In about 20 seconds or so he continued with the solo and the song finished.

Set the Ray to Jerry was a huge personal highlight, as it is one of my favorite songs. Also Bring The Light seemed to rock pretty hard.

The set seemed a little short, and comparing it nearby tour dates it is my suspiscion that they played a shorter set due to the cold weather. At the end of the concert Billy thanked everyone for showing up and said something like "We didn't know how it would go with it being so cold outside, but you guys kept it warm".

Other stage banter included Billy talking about the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. He asked if there were any Browns fans in the audience, then made a remark about the "Dog Pound". Then (to my insult) he said "What do the Bengals fans scream out, 'Rawr'?" He said it in a pathetic feminine way, as making fun of the Bengals. The crowd enjoyed it.

Overall the concert was a great one, and although I would have liked a better closer than Muzzle (maybe Mayonaise or Silverfuck), it still rocked.
