February 16, 2008 - O2 Arena - London, UK Concert review by kath Siva - Zwan : Concert Reviews WOW....I can't put into words how nostalgic I felt seeing the pumpkins again. 20 years on and Billy hasn't lost it one bit. He looked amazing up on stage in his glistening silver outfit towering above all the other band members, analogous of the rock God he really is. The atmosphere was set at the onset with a classic version of Porcelina and despite the fact the setlist hasn't changed, no-one could complain about it, something from every era. I was teary eyed when I head Mayonaise... And hearing Jimmy rock out again is something very special to behold. The seemingly spontaneous jamming at the end was pure rock and Billy was warm and embracing towards the crowd. Lucky me gets to do it all again in Berlin next week..... |
