Siva - Zwan : Concert Reviews

11 out of 10

My buddy and I showed up at about 5:15 at the end of the line, about 100 yards from the door. We spent about an hour there, in the cold rain. Once we were in the place filled quickly, and I was, for a while standing right behind a guy about as tall as Yao Ming as the cover band played; thank god he moved. I was just right of center stage about 10 rows back. THe cover band was SUPER mellow, they played a harp, a ukelele, and a classic style guitar with David Pajo playing the drums. You could tell the crowd was very restless.

There was about a 45 minute wait between the bands, and the place erupted as Zwan took stage. They started with Mary Star of the Sea(they did Jesus I later in the show), and I thought this was the best part of the show. They jammed for like 10 minutes on the first song, just all going nuts. They played most songs from the album, and did the beatles cover "don't let me down" and another which I don't know(I just know it was a cover) Some guy climbed the light rig, almost to the top, but security pulled him down and I'm guessing that he got booted.

They played two encores, after they return from the first encore, Billy commented about the war. He said that he is opposed to it, but he hopes it is over quick and noone gets hurt. Right On! The second encore was Honestly, and then a jam of some type that I couldn't pick up. I think that they doubled the volume for that last jam; it was almost like I had to lean forwards to stay standing.

It was probably the best live concert that Ive ever seen. I took a bunch of pictures that I plan on sumitting here.

I WILL BE A FAN FOR LIFE! KEEP ROCKING, ZWAN!
