Siva - Zwan : Concert Reviews

Missed the first few songs because the show was moved up 1hr earlier in the day and we had planned to get there at 8:00, when the opening band was originally supposed to start. Got there during Tonight, Tonight, so the crowd was already into it. The band played really tight together up through Zero. Ginger kept looking at Billy and Jimmy like she was scared or unsure of what to do -- but she is so hot that it didn't matter! Jeff Schroeder is every bit as good a guitar player as Jimmy Iha, and the band sounded great with him playing. There were several times when Billy's guitar and vox were turned all the way up in the mix so that you couldn't hear the rest of the band... but what do you expect from an egomaniacal visionary genius?

After Zero the show kind of started to fall apart because they dragged the songs out beyond full length. Billy and the band were tired and you could tell. The encore with Jimmy Flemion was awesome, EXCEPT he kept playing after Billy asked him to stop and stayed onstage during the final song. I felt like he stayed on stage too long and took time away that we could have seen the Pumpkins play one or two more songs. Overall, an A- show.
