I was foolish to speak so highly of the Wednesday night show, though I was being legitamate at the time.

This show however, being the finale of the 5 metro shows was THE BOMB. Sorry to use such a tripe and overused phrase, but its true!

Right out of the gates, you could tell it was going to be a great show because of the look on Billy's face. They opened with Mary Star of the Sea and it was intense! They played a long jam at the end of the song that was much longer than any of the previous two Metro shows I saw this week. At the end, I turned to my friend and simply said "wow, that was just the first song!".

Billy made it clear it was the last show at the Metro by singling out and thanking Metro owner Joe Shannahan...and acknowldeging that the Metro is an important part of Chicago. He took 10 minutes to pass out belated x-mas gifts to the bandmembers as well.

He gave Dave and Matt a book and some Cds...he gave Jimmy 2 books...and he gave Paz a necklace and a kiss on the cheak.

Highlights of the show included: Riverview, I'm Eighteen (Alice Cooper), A New Poetry, Spilled Milk, and Come With Me (dedicated to Chicago).

The crowd was the most active of all the Metro shows. It began with head-bobbing, but eventually turned into jumping, dancing, etc. The crowd experience made it that much better, especially when we mustered the cheer to bring the band out for two encores!

As I mentioned earlier, Billy's attitude was a sure-fire sign of his attitude tonight. He was screaming at the top of his longs during many of the songs...and would repeatedly shout "Whoo" while not at the mike. He milked every guitar solo for waht it was worth, playing to sectios of the crowd. During Riverview Billy continually jumped 2-3 feet off the ground as he played the screaming riffs that conclude this song.

Can't wait to see them again. A trip to Wisconsin perhaps?
