September 19, 2007 - SDSU Open Air Theatre - San Diego, CA, US Concert review by Drew Topel Siva - Zwan : Concert Reviews I thought that while performed perfectly, the set list left something to be desired for all but the most hard core Pumpkins fans. They didn't even play "Zero". The highlight of the show was Billy playing "1979" by himself on acoustic guitar about midway through. From other reviews I've read, it seems that he was a bit more talkative at this show, so that's good, I'm including a few comments he made in the setlist below. If others have the song titles for the ones I'm missing, that'd be great to get 8:00p Start - (didn't recognize the opener) - Doomsday Clock Billy says "Welcome to our show" - Hummer - Bullet With Butterfly Wings 8:21p Billy jokes that they have one more song. - Drown - Bring the Light - That's the Way (My Love Is) - Tonight, Tonight - Tarantula - Glass and the Ghost Children Just billy now with acoustic guitar "I'd like to play you a song I wrote on my couch one day. A song about my painful 20's" - 1979 - To Sheila - United States (10 min long) - Today - Ava Adore - Starla - Heavy Metal Machine - Cover Song: "On the Road Again" by Canned Heat 9:48 End of main set 9:52 Encore #1 - Silverfuck (not sure ?) 10:04 End Encore 10:06 They come out for encore #2 and wish the audience well, Billy jokes a bit. He's smiling and comfortable; the band is too. 10:08 Start song - Muzzle 10:12 End Songs they didn't do that I thought they would... - Bleeding the Orchid slower - Starz - For God & Country - Rocket - Cherub Rock - Zero - Come On (Let’s Go) - Blue Skies Bring Tears - Superchrist |
