December 13, 2001 - Emerson Theatre - Indianapolis, IN, US Concert review by Adam Golden (xdjalizwan at aol dot com) Siva - Zwan : Concert Reviews I think this was one of the best shows that I have ever been to in my entire life. The guys jammed before Billy came out, and when he did he sat on the stool and stared at the ground jamming without singing, just staring at the ground. He seemed pissed, but then what seemed to be 10 minutes later he glanced up at the crowd and gave a big grin. It was all acoustic. There were only a couple hundred people there so it made the venue very personal. Billy sang happy birthday to someone in the audience, very down to earth. It was pretty funny at the end of the second show they played "chicks just get in the way," followed by "dicks just get in the way" (obviously not lyrics of billy or sang by him i couldnt tell who the girl was because of what she was wearing.) Since the show was so small, cameras, video cameras and audio devices were everywhere and nobody seemed to care security wise. Since it was one of the bands first shows it seemed that many of the words were improvised and the songs also ended with long jams, very entertaining. The set continued till about 1 or 2 a.m. It was just so awesome that a band that will obviously be huge here pretty soon, played at some small venue in the ghetto of Indy, and not one show, but 2 in the same nite. I know these guys(and girl) are going to leave a huge mark on the rock world and i wish them the best of luck while they're doing it. peace |
