This show was actually at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, a change from the Mesa Ampitheatre. It\'s sad really, since obviously not enough tickets were sold to fill out the ampitheatre.
the crowd was small, which was disappointing but enjoyable and i loved how calm the crowd was, you could really tell that they were a mature group..none of that pushing and shoving or anything, there was a lot of respect for each other out there.

we got there about two hours early and were in the first thirty people or so to go through the door. when we got inside we were just behind the front row, about two people back. i had a completely unobstructed view the entire time. :o) we waited around in the venue for almost an hour an half before \"The Children\'s Hour\" came on and then after they were finished probably another thirty minutes before Zwan took the stage (they played us salsa music while we were waiting, no less).

the opening band was a little bit....different. i personally think it took a lot of balls for them to get up there and play the kind of music they did (think the cranberries but with harps) in front of a bunch of former Pumpkin-heads...so i give mad props to them for that. there were a few rude comments during their set but for the most part people gave them a chance.

when zwan FINALLY came out, the crowd went nuts. billy said a few words and the crowd ate them up. in my opinion, he could\'ve come out, sang \"mary had a little lamb\" or something and half the crowd would\'ve been completely satisfied *hell, i would have!* anyway, he was in a very good mood the whole night, and the vibe carried through the place like wildfire. the basically played the whole album, with the exception of one or two songs *i think* they also played a few other songs which didn\'t make the album but are on the DVD. they had two encores and billy came out to shake everyones hand afterwards.

the band DEFINATELY sounds harder live, which i had heard but didn\'t quite believe. I loved it, to be honest. it was the best concert i had been to in a long time. they are an AWESOME band live, and it\'s definately worth the $30 something bucks you have to pay to see them these days *as annoying as that is*.

billy corgan is a genius, and Zwan does not disappoint. :o)
